These things seem to get written in the third person, which is weird but here goes.;)
Joseph De-Haan has been taking photos for around 15 years now. He started on a trip to New Zealand where he bought a little Yashica range finder with an automatic zoom and became hooked.
In 2004 Joseph got a HND in photography where he discovered two things he liked photographing people and photography was a powerful tool of persuasion.
Since then Joseph has worked for a number of charities doing their stories and a lot of the photography for their marketing. He has been commissioned to do work in St. Petersburg, been in numerous exhibitions including ‘A Positive View’ at Somerset House in London, which was sponsored by Prince William .
As part of Joseph’s interest in photographing people he has done extensive work in Studio Photography combining both traditional and contemporary styles with an artistic flare that stands apart from other studio practices. Joseph has also been part of starting a family run photography business in the North East of England as well as delivering a digital photography course there.
Joseph’s passion now is with what he can do with your picture after it has been taken.
With digital photography what can be created with your picture is limited only by the imagination. Joseph has taken hi key affects
and colour separation to another level and he specialises in comic affects. This began with the B.A.S.H project where he turned people he photographed in to super heroes, Be A Super Hero. He has now combined this with a pop art style to create something completely unique for each person he works with.
When he makes your image in to one of these pop art, comic creation he doesn’t know how it will turn out but rather it develops through the process making sure you receive a completely unique work of art.
Joseph’s aim is to bring to you a stunning product that uses both the highest quality materials and is still inexpensive.
